Haul probability is the modelled chance that a player scores a defined high total (typically 10 or more FPL points) in the Gameweek. It measures ceiling rather than reliability.
Should I captain the highest xPts player every week?
If you are protecting a rank, yes — the highest xPts pick is the safest expected-value choice. If you need to gain ground, a lower-owned player with a comparable ceiling gives more differential upside.
When are captaincy picks updated?
They refresh with the underlying model, so late injury and press-conference news is reflected before most Gameweek deadlines. Always re-check after the final press conferences.
