How to use predicted line-ups in FPL

  • ▸ Check every player in your XI has a start probability above roughly 75% before the deadline.
  • ▸ Captain from the nailed group — a benched premium costs more than a poor fixture ever will.
  • ▸ Cross-reference with projected points and team news.
  • ▸ Rotation risk is highest in midweek rounds; recheck the fixture ticker for congestion.

Predicted line-up FAQs

How are these predicted line-ups produced?

Each XI is built from scraped predicted line-up articles and injury tables, combined with our own expected-minutes model (recent starts, rotation rate, availability flags and FPL status). Where the sources disagree, the model's start probability decides who makes the XI.

How often are the predicted XIs updated?

The underlying data refreshes several times a day and again close to the Fantasy Premier League deadline, so the pages are at their most accurate in the 24 hours before kick-off once managers confirm team news in press conferences.

Are predicted line-ups accurate?

No predicted XI is guaranteed. Typically eight to nine of eleven starters are correct once press-conference news is in, with rotation-heavy sides the least predictable. We publish a start probability next to every name so you can see how confident the projection is.

How should FPL managers use predicted line-ups?

Use them to avoid non-starters before the deadline, to sanity-check captaincy, and to spot cheap enablers who have suddenly become nailed. Pair the XI with each player's projected points to judge whether a starter is actually worth owning.
